This month is pretty important. Fall weather starts to arrive, and Halloween is in the air. It is also Breast Cancer Awareness Month.

I have an Etsy shop that is filled with Halloween type items, but I am also selling Breast Cancer Awareness buttons. 10% of the proceeds from these buttons will be donated to the National Breast Cancer Foundation.

Please take the time to do a self examination or help a friend. This disease strikes more often than you know.

On 9/22/12 I traveled to San Francisco to see a show curated by photographer and co-founder Gail O'Hara of Chickfactor magazine for their 20th anniversary. For those of you who are unfamiliar, Gail and Pam Berry (of the band Black Tambourine) founded Chickfactor which is a magazine that covers the indie pop genre.

Among the groups that played that night were: Allen Clapp of The Orange Peels, Kim Baxter of All Girl Summer Fun Band, Lilys (Kurt Heasley accoustic solo), The Softies (Rose Melberg and Jen Sbragia), and Steve Jackson of Belle and Sebastian.

We had a wonderful time!
